The Lutheran Men hosting congregation Christmas meal immediately flowing the worship service on December 3, 2023. Everyone is invited and asked to bring a dessert. Please plan on attending as we kick off the Holiday Season with wonderful food and good Christian Fellowship.
The Lutheran Men will be making Country Sausage on Monday, November 20, 2023. If you would like to purchase BULK sausage at $5.00 per pound, please place your order in advance. See a member of the LM or contact Gerald on or before Sunday, November 12th. The sausage can be picked up between 3:00 and 6:00 pm on Monday, November 20th in the Fellowship Hall.
The Lutheran Men will have its next regular meeting on September 17th at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.

On Friday, June 23, our St. Jacob’s Men had a very successful Barbecue. Thank you to the several men who came out to assist in preparing everything. Proceeds from the Barbecue will go to the several ministry projects that are sponsored by our Men’s group. All men of St. Jacob’s are encouraged to become a part of this Men’s Ministry and lend your time, talents and, ideas for future ministries. Just speak with President Lynn Shealy or Men’s Secretary Billy for more information on how you might get involved.

In February, our St. Jacob’s Men had another successful sausage sale. All together they continued to supply our church family with delicious pork sausage, producing well over seven hundred pounds. Included in this tally was enough sausage to supply our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Easter morning breakfast. Of course, all this would not be possible without the assistance of several of our Lutheran Women who help out each year by weighing and packaging the sausage in 1 pound containers. They are always a great help in this project. Thank you to all who helped out!
All St. Jacob’s men are encouraged to participate in the first annual South Carolina Mission District Men’s Retreat. The retreat will take place at Camp Longridge in ridgeway, SC on the weekend of April 14-16. The cost for the weekend is $125.00 per person and includes meals and lodging.
The theme for the retreat is “Becoming Fishers of Men.” St. Jacob’s and St. Peter’s Lutheran Churches in Chapin are the host congregations for the weekend. Registration brochures are available in the narthex.
Fathers and sons are especially encouraged to attend. More information will follow in the St. Jacob’s Newsletter and South Carolina Mission District Facebook page.

It’s that time of year, time for our Lutheran Men to prepare their delicious homemade pork sausage. The men will be taking orders for bulk sausage available at $5.00 per pound. Just see one of the Lutheran Men to place your order. Orders may be made through Sunday, February 12th. Those who purchase sausage may pick their order up on Monday, February 20th from 3:00PM—5:00PM.
