Church Parking Alert

Posted March 31, 2022 By admin

With the increase in traffic on Columbia Avenue, our Church Council recognizes the existing safety issues with our current parking lot and requests the following: The designated entrance to the church parking lot is at the end in front of the Fellowship Hall. When exiting the parking lot, please drive up the driveway in front of the church office and exit from the driveway. Following this pattern will reduce the risk of accidents as traffic approaches the church coming up the hill on Columbia Avenue. Please do not exit the parking lot by simply pulling out onto Columbia Avenue.

Holy Week Worship Schedule

Posted March 31, 2022 By admin

Holy Week services begin on Sunday, April 10th with our Palm Sunday celebration. On Palm Sunday, we will begin outside in front of the church and hear the Gospel narrative of Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into the city of Jerusalem. From there we will process into the church nave where we will again hear the reading of Christ’s passion as presented in the Gospel according to Luke.
We will not have a Wednesday Service on April 13th.
Our Maundy Thursday Service will begin at 7 PM on Thursday, April 14th. We will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion and also observe the traditional Stripping of the Altar. The congregation will depart in silence and reassemble in silence the next evening, Good Friday, for our traditional Tenebrae Service of Shadows. Once again the congregation departs the darkened church in silence and reassembles on Easter Sunday morning with joy and celebration for our 7 AM Sunrise Service. It is a busy week filled with worship opportunities and all are encouraged to attend.
